The West Coast Conference announced on Friday the addition of the University of Denver to the conference beginning on July 1, 2026. Denver will be one of 10 members of the WCC starting in the 2026-27 academic year.
"The University of Denver is a superb academic institution that shares the WCC's dedication to the holistic student-athlete experience," University of Portland President Robert D. Kelly said. "DU is also in a vibrant, growing market for future Portland Pilots so we're excited to see the WCC expand its footprint into Colorado. UP and DU already enjoy a fierce rivalry in soccer, and we're excited to extend that competition into many other sports.
