The Portland Pilots women's rowing team will have to wait a little longer to begin the 2016 fall campaign as the American Lake Fall Classic, which was scheduled for Sunday, has been cancelled due to the stormy weather. Officials called off the regatta with weekend winds forecasted to be 17-22 mph, with gusts of 30+ in the Lakewood, Wash., area.
The Pilots will next set their sights on the annual Portland Fall Classic, which is set for Sunday Oct. 30 on the Willamette River in downtown Portland. The Pilots will be racing six boats at the fall classic.
