PORTLAND, Ore. – The Portland women's rowing team will be in familiar territory for Saturday's West Coast Conference Championships. The regatta will be held at the Pilots' home course, Vancouver Lake in nearby Vancouver, Wash. First-year head coach Gulliver Scott is excited to see the growth his team has made throughout the season.
"I'm proud of this group for staying motivated and sticking together through a very challenging season," Scott said. "Just making it to this point is an accomplishment. We've had a really good series of practices leading up to WCCs and we're all excited to see how we stack up against some very vast crews.
