LAS VEGAS – Gonzaga was picked to win the league in the 2019-20 West Coast Conference Men's Basketball Coaches Preseason Poll, announced Thursday at the WCC Basketball Tip-Off held at the Orleans Arena.
Gonzaga picked up seven first-place votes, while Saint Mary's collected the other three first-place ballots and were selected as the runner-up. Rounding out the top five was BYU, Pepperdine and Santa Clara. Portland was picked tenth.
The Pilots will open the season with a home exhibition game against George Fox on Saturday, Nov. 2 at 7:30 p.m. The regular season opener will be versus Willamette on Tuesday, Nov.
