MALIBU, Calif. – Portland led a majority of the second half but went cold late as the Pepperdine Waves pulled out a 67-63 win Wednesday in West Coast Conference basketball action at Firestone Fieldhouse.
Cameron Williams led the Pilots (9-11, 2-5 WCC) with 14 points and 12 rebounds, while Joel Foxwell added 10 points and 10 assists.
Portland led by four with a little more than four minutes remaining in regulation but then went scoreless until Mikah Ballew hit a three-pointer with 38 seconds left. Pepperdine took advantage by going on a 10-0 run to take control.
