PORTLAND, Ore. – Anthony Townes finished with 18 points and 16 rebounds to lead the Pacific Tigers to a 76-65 victory over the Portland Pilots Thursday night at the Chiles Center. The game featured two former Portland Trail Blazers on the sidelines as Pilots head coach Terry Porter faced off against Pacific head coach Damon Stoudamire.
The Tigers (10-18, 4-11 WCC) had four players reach double figures on the night, but it was Townes that controlled the interior and blocked two shots and collected two steals as well.
Sophomore Jazz Johnson finished with 23 points to lead all scorers for the Pilots (9-18, 2-13 WCC) who have now lost 13 straight and nine in a row since losing All-WCC point guard Alec Wintering.
