PORTLAND, Ore. – Cal State Fullerton pulled out a hard-fought 4-3 win over Portland in non-conference women's tennis action Wednesday at the Louisiana Pacific Tennis Center. The Titans improve to 10-3 on the season, while Portland drops to 6-7 overall.
Despite missing two lineup players due to injury/illness, the Pilots were able to take the match down to the wire.
Junior Anna Oberg pulled out a three-set win against Luxizi Meng at No. 5 singles to tie the score at 3-3 and set up the deciding point at No. 4 singles.
Pilot freshman Angela Schuster dropped the first set to Caisey Lee Emery, but bounced back to take the second set 6-4 and went ahead 5-2 in the third.
