SAN BRUNO, Calif. --- Portland juniors Melanie Martinell and Lauren Reid and sophomore Acacia Welsford all landed on the 2016-17 West Coast Conference Women's Rowing All-Academic team as 18 Pilots total received recognition. Martinell and Reid both earned all-academic honorable mention last year, while this is the first academic recognition for Welsford.
Martinell, Reid and Welsford all row on Portland's varsity eight boat, which won the gold medal at the Covered Bridge Regatta earlier this spring.
