Complete Release I 2016 Freshman Class Highlights
PORTLAND, Ore. --- Future Portland Pilot Cali Thompson was named Gatorade Nevada Volleyball Player of the Year as announced by USA Today High School Sports on Tuesday. The Henderson, Nev. native can add this to the long list of accomplishments she has earned during her high school career.
As a setter, Thompson has helped to lead Coronado High School to three consecutive state championships and this season she recorded 1,262 assists, 174 digs, 86 service aces, and 76 kills this year.
"It's wonderful news that Cali has been recognized for her stellar play this high school season," said volleyball head coach Brent Crouch.
