Second Varsity Four Makes Grand Final in Day 1 at WCC Championships

GOLD RIVER, Calif. – The Portland Pilots second varsity four made the Grand Final of the 2025 WCC Rowing Championships with their second-place finish on Friday. Portland's three other boats each took fourth in their respective heats.

With Bella Valenzuela as the coxswain and Madi Franco as the stroke, the Pilots finished with a time of 7:59. They will have a chance to compete for first in the grand final tomorrow at 8:15 a.m.

The first varsity four followed, finishing with a time of 8:02. Natalie Petty was the coxswain with Averie Zealley as the stroke.
