SEATTLE, Wash. --- In game that was largely dominated by the Pilots, Larkin Russell scored her first goal of the season as Portland earned a 1-1 draw with the Seattle Redhawks on Friday night at Championship Field. It's the fourth career goal for Russell, a sophomore midfielder.
After falling behind early in the first half, the Pilots responded by taking over possession and repeatedly creating chances. But the game would remain 1-0 in Seattle's favor until the 63rd minute.
That's when the Pilots (3-6-1) earned a free kick from about 40 yards out, and sophomore defender Natalie Muth sent a ball towards the top of the box.
