SAN BRUNO, Calif. --- Portland Pilots beach volleyball student-athletes Maddy Mandon and Morgan Robinson received 2016 Beach Volleyball All-Academic Honorable Mention honors as announced by the West Coast Conference on Wednesday. The duo earned the honor by putting the work in on the sand and in the classroom during Portland's inaugural beach volleyball season.
At the conclusion of each athletic season, the WCC selects an all-academic squad for each WCC-sponsored sport. To be considered, a student-athlete must maintain at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average, while also being a significant contributor to her team.
