CORVALLIS, Ore. --- Portland's Taryn Ries scored twice and Kimberly Hazlett added a a goal as the Pilots claimed a convincing 3-0 win over the Oregon State Beavers on Sunday evening at Paul Lorenz Field. Ellie Winkelmann assisted on both of Ries' goals for her first career points, and Ries has scored a goal in four straight games.
Ries began the scoring late in the first half, which came on a perfectly placed free kick from Winkelmann. Near the top of the six-yard box, Ries elevated and planted a well-struck header into the back of the net. The goal gave the Pilots a 1-0 lead at the break, and Winkelmann earns her first career point.
