STOCKTON, Calif. --- The Pacific Tigers opened a big lead in the first half before prevailing over the Portland Pilots 91-55 in a West Coast Conference women's basketball game played on Saturday afternoon at the Spanos Center. Darian Slaga and Julie Spencer each scored 10 points for the Pilots.
Pacific (8-9, 2-4 WCC) forced the Pilots (4-13, 0-6 WCC) into some early turnovers in the first quarter as the home team jumped ahead by eight points four minutes in. Moments later Spencer cut the deficit to six points on a put-back after an offensive rebound, and the Pilots were still within nine late in the frame when Lisa-Marie Kaempf converted down low.
