Rawlings Finishes Strong at NCAA Championships

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Portland redshirt junior Taryn Rawlings unofficially finished 51st individually at the 2017 NCAA Cross Country Championships, hosted at a wet and windy Tom Sawyer State Park on Saturday morning. Rawlings covered the 6k course in a time of 20:20.91 and had a strong finish as she passed 34 runners in the final 1,000 kilometers.

A native of Wilsonville, Ore., Rawlings earned her place individually at nationals by placing 14th at the NCAA West Regional.

This is the second NCAA Championships appearance in as many years for Rawlings after competing with the Pilots team at last year's meet.
