PORTLAND, Ore. --- University of Portland women's soccer alums Megan Rapinoe (USA), Christine Sinclair (Canada), and Sophie Schmidt (Canada) will once again represent their country as they head to the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup in France, which begins on Friday. This is the fifth straight world cup for Sinclair, the fourth straight for Schmidt, and the third for Rapinoe.
The 2019 World Cup opens on Friday, June 7, when France faces the Korea Republic. Canada will play its first game on Monday against Cameroon, and the U.S. is slated to begin their stay in France with a match against Thailand on Tuesday.
