This month, we profile UP Women's Soccer Goalkeeper Hanna de Haan and her international student-athlete experience at the University of Portland. de Haan came to UP from Germany in the Fall of 2014 and has flourished both on the soccer pitch and in the classroom. "I have known Hanna de Haan since August 2014 when she was enrolled in my CST 107 Effective Public Speaking class," said Sheri Rooks, a professor in the Communication Studies Department at UP.
