PORTLAND, Ore. – The Portland Pilots women's soccer coaching staff on Friday was named the West Region Staff of the Year for 2022. It's the first time this staff has earned the award.
By being named the West Region Staff of the Year, the Pilots' coaching staff will be put on the ballot for the National Staff of the Year vote. Voting for that opens today, with the winner set to be announced on Friday, Dec. 16.
Michelle French, head coach of the Pilots, has led the team since 2018. She holds a 45-37-16 record during her five years on The Bluff, with this past season being the most successful in the past nine seasons.
