PORTLAND, Ore. – The Portland Pilots couldn't get the bats going against the Santa Clara Broncos, falling 5-1 in the series finale. The Pilots still took the series against the Broncos.
Ryan Rembisz took the loss for Portland (20-24, 11-7 WCC). He went five innings with just two runs allowed on nine hits. Offensively, the Pilots mustered up just three hits. Tyler Howard, however, extended his on-base streak to 31 games, the longest by a Pilot since 1993.
How it Happened
Portland started the scoring with a sacrifice fly in the second inning.
