NORTHRIDGE, Calif. – The Portland women's tennis team opened play on Friday at the CSUN Matador Invitational in both singles and doubles action.
Portland's doubles tandem of Rimona Rouf and Jana Tanevska won a pair of matches to advance to the finals of the Doubles C draw which will be played Saturday morning.
The Pilots went 4-1 in the afternoon singles with Rouf, Tanevska, Annika Alcon and Aleksandra Dimitrijevic all won their opening round singles matches to advance to Saturday's semifinals in their respective draws.
The tournament continues on Saturday with both singles and doubles action and will conclude with final singles matches in all draws on Sunday.
