Fans will get their first chance to see the University of Portland women's and men's basketball teams in person as the teams will host Purple and White Scrimmages on Saturday, Oct. 8 at the Chiles Center. The event is free and open to the public with doors opening at 1:30 p.m.
The Pilot women will scrimmage from 2-3 p.m. and the men between 3:30-4:30 p.m. Both teams will be formally introduced between the two sessions.
Both teams are coming off of successful 2021-22 seasons that included a combined 39 wins, including postseason victories.

The team finished 20-11 for their second 20-plus win season under head coach Michael Meek and their fifth as a Division I program.
