University Place, Wash. -- Laura Pellicoro earned All-West Region honors (Top-25 overall), finishing second. This was one of the highest Pilot finishes ever. The Pilot women finished 9th overall with 292 points, while the entirety of the team also ran PRs for the 6K distance.
Pellicoro ran near the front of the pack for nearly the entire race, sitting on the shoulders of other top runners in the field while biding her time. Throughout the last split, Pellicoro would pick off four runners in order to finish second in a time of 19:21.8.
Pellicoro was followed by Courtney Klatt in 34th (20:00.
