PORTLAND, Ore. – The Portland women's tennis team picked up its fifth consecutive win with a 5-2 victory over Idaho State Sunday at the Louisiana Pacific Tennis Center. The Pilots improve to 6-2 on the season, while the Bengals drop to 6-4 overall.
The five-match win streak equals the 2019 Pilots early season run for the longest since the 2015 team won seven consecutive contests. Portland's 6-2 record also ties the best eight-match start in program history with the teams from 1997, 1999 and 2019. The Pilots can secure the best single-season start ever with one more win.
