PORTLAND, Ore. – University of Portland men's basketball has signed Miami transfer Thomas Oosterbroek (OAST-uhr-brook), head coach Shantay Legans announced on Friday. Oosterbroek spent two seasons at Miami where the team reached the Elite Eight in 2022 and Final Four in 2023. He comes to The Bluff with three years of eligibility remaining.
"We think Thomas is going to surprise a lot of people," Portland head coach Shantay Legans said. "He had many offers out of high school and saw how a championship-level program operates at Miami. Now he will get a chance to show his diverse skill set and make an impact on our program.
