PORTLAND, Ore. --- The Portland Pilots women's soccer team takes the pitch for the first time this season when they host the University of British Columbia in an exhibition match on Friday at Merlo Field. Kickoff for the Pilots and Thunderbirds is set for 4:30 p.m.
"Since we began training in the spring, we've had our exhibition game against University of British Columbia highlighted on our calendar," Portland's first-year head coach Michelle French said. "UBC will be a fantastic opponent for us to test how we've grown as a team, whether that's in how we want to play, or in how we've grown in relation to our team mentality and culture.
