GOLD RIVER, Calif. – All Pilot boats finished second in the grand finals of their respective races at the Western Intercollegiate Rowing Association Championships (WIRAs) on Sunday.
The varsity eight started things off for the Pilots, finishing second to the Sacramento State Hornets with a time of 6:48.546. Leahbelle Paladino was the coxswain while Kate Feustel was the stroke. The second varsity eight followed, finishing with a time of 7:03.613, also taking second to the Hornets. Clarissa Gutierrez was the coxswain with Gaby Twitchell as the stroke.
The varsity four, with Natalie Petty as the coxswain and Claire Banasky as the stroke, were runners-up to the Hornets as well.
