Pilots Stay Undefeated in WCC Play with 5-1 win Over Pacific

STOCKTON, Calif. -- Portland starter Peter Allegro had everything working on Sunday, striking out 11 Pacific hitters over seven innings of work to help power the Pilots over the Tigers 5-1.

In addition to his 11 strikeouts, Allegro (3-2) tossed seven innings, giving up just one run on five hits and walking two for Portland (16-7, 6-0). Kaden Segel also made an impact on the mound for the Pilots, throwing two shutout innings while allowing two hits, with no walks and two strikeouts.

Zach Toglia led the way offensively for the Pilots, going 2-for-4 in the ballgame with a home run and an RBI.
