PORTLAND, Ore. -- Right-hander Brock Gillis had everything working on Saturday, fanning 10 Utah Valley hitters over seven innings of work to help power the Portland Pilots over the Wolverines 6-2. In addition to his 10 strikeouts, Gillis (1-0) tossed seven innings, giving up one run on four hits and walking one for Portland (6-3).
Jake Holcroft led the way offensively for the Pilots, going 2-for-5 in the ballgame with a double and two RBI's.
