PORTLAND, Ore. --- Larkin Russell scored the game-winner and Rachel Lusby made a pair of saves as the Pilots shutout the UC Irvine Anteaters 2-0 to win the 2018 Nike Portland Invitational on Sunday afternoon at Merlo Field. Taryn Ries also found the back of the net for the Pilots, who notch their third clean sheet of the year.
Russell, who had two assists during Friday night's win over Utah Valley, was named the tournament's offensive MVP, while Portland (4-3-0) midfielder Natalie Muth nabbed defensive MVP honors.
Russell opened the scoring against the Anteaters (1-4-1) with her first goal of the season in the 16th minute.
