SAN DIEGO, Calif. – The Portland Pilots have secured the No. 5 seed at this week's West Coast Conference Tennis Championships and will face the No. 4 seed BYU Cougars in the tournament's opening round on Thursday. The match will begin at 10 a.m. at the Aztec Tennis Complex and will have live video and scoring available.
The top six teams from the WCC in the ITA National Rankings are invited to participate in the conference tournament with the top two seeds earning an opening round bye. The Pilots (10-8, 2-5 WCC) moved into the top five courtesy of a strong showing against Gonzaga in the regular season finale on Saturday.
