PORTLAND, Ore. – The Portland Pilots (27-18) scored three runs in the seventh to overtake the Utah Valley Wolverines (16-32) and win 6-4. With their 27th win, the Pilots have tied the 2012 squad for wins in a season.
Caleb Franzen gets the win after pitching 2.1 innings in relief and striking out three with no runs allowed. Four Pilots made appearances on the mound, with Peter Allegro officially earning the save after closing out the final 1.2 innings with three strikeouts and just one hit allowed.
Portland scored six runs off eight hits in this one.
