PORTLAND, Ore. --- The Portland women's soccer team continued its strong start to the 2016 season with a 6-0 victory over the Southern Utah Thunderbirds Friday night before 2,062 fans in the late game of the Nike Invitational at Merlo Field at the Clive Charles Soccer Complex.
The Pilots (3-1-2) struck for three goals within the first 30 minutes to set the tone early.
Freshman Kimberly Hazlett put the Pilots on top 1-0 in the fourth minute when she collected a rebound off the post and slotted her shot home for the first goal of her collegiate career.
