PORTLAND, Ore. --- The Portland Pilots scored five goals in the first half and never looked back en route to a 9-0 win over the George Fox Bruins in the men's soccer season opener played on Wednesday night at Merlo Field. Both senior Luke Hendel and freshman Brandon Cambridge recorded two goals and assist on the night.
Hendel's first goal came in the third minute as the Pilots (1-0) took control early. Jake Arteaga helped set up the goal when he sent a nice ball into the right side of the 18-yard box. Hendel gained possession, cut across the area, and hit a low strike into the right side of the net.
