INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The complete NCAA Academic Progress Rates (APR) were released on Wednesday and the University of Portland continues to report positive numbers. Each of Portland's varsity athletics programs from the 2018-19 multi-year calculation are in good condition and no teams are subject to penalties.
Among the four Division I universities in the state of Oregon, UP posted or matched the highest APR multi-year rates in 10 of the 14 sports in which the data is provided.
Looking at the 2017-18 data, Portland had an overall rating of 985. Beach volleyball and men's tennis earned APR Public Recognition Awards for registering in the Top 10 percent nationally of their respective sports.
