PORTLAND, Ore. --- After the Pilots scored a run to tie the game in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Gonzaga Bulldogs plated the winning run in the 11th to overcome Portland 4-3 in a West Coast Conference baseball game played on Sunday afternoon at Joe Etzel Field. Cody Hawken homered for the Pilots during the loss.
Trailing 3-2 in the ninth, Jace McKinney sparked the rally when he sent a pinch-hit single to right field with one out. Hunter Montgomery then reached on a catcher's interference, and McKinney advanced to third base when Chad Stevens flew out to right.
