Pilots pull out thrilling 4-3 win at LMU

LOS ANGELES, Calif. – The Portland men's tennis team came back from a big deficit to secure a thrilling 4-3 road victory over the Loyola Marymount Lions Friday afternoon at the LMU Tennis Center. The Pilots improve to 7-8 overall and 3-2 in West Coast Conference play with the victory, while the Lions drop to 5-14 and 0-5 in league play.

"That was one of the grittiest performances I've been a part of in 25 years of coaching," Portland head coach Aaron Gross said. "It's 95 degrees here and we lost the doubles point and we lost four out of the six first sets of the singles matches before getting the win.
