Pilots Pull Away from Pioneers, 77-57

PORTLAND, Ore. – The Portland Pilots overcame a slow start to defeat the Lewis & Clark Pioneers by a 77-57 margin on Monday in non-conference men's basketball action at the Chiles Center. Sophomore guard Marcus Shaver Jr. led three Pilots in double figures with 16 points.

Josh McSwiggan added 13 points and four assists. He made all eight of his free throw attempts and is now a perfect 20-of-20 at the line this season.

Sophomore guard Malcolm Porter added 11 points off the bench, while freshman center Theo Akwuba grabbed a season high 13 rebounds to go with eight points and three blocked shots.
