SAN DIEGO, Calif. – The Portland Pilots dropped the series finale against the San Diego Toreros 5-4. This is the first time the Pilots have been swept in a conference series this year.
Nolan Umlandt took the loss for Portland (17-23, 9-6 WCC) after having three runs charged against him in the eighth. Ryan Rembisz started for the Pilots, throwing 6.2 innings with two runs and seven hits allowed along with five strikeouts.
The Pilots had four runs off six hits, led by a 2-for-4 outing from Riley McCarthy.
