SAN BRUNO, Calif. --- The University of Portland placed an impressive 182 student-athletes on the 16th annual West Coast Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll for the 2016-17 academic year. This achievement recognizes student-athletes that have balanced athletic success with academic excellence. This is the fifth straight year that Portland's placed at least 145 athletes on this prestigious list, and the Pilots claimed 37 Gold Honorees (4.00-3.75 GPA).
For the sixth consecutive year, more than 1,000 WCC student-athletes garnered honors on the Commissioner's Honor Roll for possessing at least a 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale. More than 1,414 student-athletes qualified for recognition, establishing a conference record for the fourth consecutive season.
