STOCKTON, Calif. – The Portland Pilots put together a solid all-around effort in picking up a 4-2 win over the Pacific Tigers in West Coast Conference women's tennis action on Saturday at the Eve Zimmerman Tennis Center. Portland picked up its first league win and improved to 5-14 overall, while the Tigers dropped to 6-10 and 2-4 in WCC play.
Portland has been solid late in the season in doubles competition and that helped set the tone on Saturday. Pacific took the No. 1 doubles match by a 6-1 margin, but the No. 3 freshmen tandem of Laura Okazaki and Lourdes Ramalle defeated Karina Vrylan and Anna Ramos Vinolas by a 6-2 margin.
