MADISON, Wis. --- The Portland Pilot's men's cross country team debuted their true varsity squad this morning at the prestigious Nuttycombe Invitational, finishing second to No.1 Northern Arizona.
Senior Jeff Thies and junior Nick Hauger finished in the top-10 at eighth and ninth to help the Pilots finish in front of 13 higher ranked teams at the invite. In his debut as a Pilot, Sophomore Emmanuel Roudolff-Levisse finished just behind Thies and Hauger in 11th place. Roudolff-Levisse and Thies led the pack for the majority of the race to finish in the top spots, while Hauger made a come from behind finish to sneak into the top-10.
