SAN FRANCISCO, Calif./ STANFORD, Calif. --- The Portland Pilots men's and women's track and field teams competed at the SF State Distance Carnival and Stanford Invite on Friday, at Chabot College and Cobb Track and Angell Field. Several Pilots posted new personal records and seven moved up the all-time record lists.
At the SF Distance Carnival both sophomore Maddy Lyons and junior Dylan Hite ran strong races in the 1500m and the 3000m steeplechase. Lyons posted a time of 4:31.20 to record a new pr, while Hite moved up to 6th all-time finishing in 10:51.51. Sophomore Joe Horen also ran well in the men's 3000m steeplechase, improving his time to 9:00.
