Pilots Go Cold Late as Dons Complete Comeback

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – The Portland Pilots went scoreless in the final 3:40 of regulation as San Francisco overcame a 15-point second half deficit to pull out a 107-95 West Coast Conference win Thursday night at War Memorial Gym at the Sobrato Center.

Junior point guard Alec Wintering recorded his second straight 30-point game, finishing with 31 points four rebounds, four assists and zero turnovers for Portland. Freshman guard Jazz Johnson added a career-high 22 points off the bench, while Bryce Pressley and D'Marques Tyson added 12 apiece.

Senior guard Tim Derksen was the difference-maker for the Dons (8-5, 2-1) and finished with 27 points and eight rebounds, doing most of his damage during the decisive late rally.
