DENVER, Colo. --- The Portland Pilots were solid defensively throughout the night and received a first-half goal from Gio Magana-Rivera, but the No. 6 Denver Pioneers tied it and collected the game-winner in the 108th minute to claim a 2-1 win in a non-conference men's soccer game played on Thursday night at CIBER Field. The win ends Portland's seven-game winning streak, while Denver extends their unbeaten streak to a remarkable 35 straight games.
The win streak had been the longest for the Pilots since also winning seven straight in 1995.
After the Pilots (11-4-1) withstood early Denver (15-0-3) pressure, the visiting side took a 1-0 lead in the 37th minute.
