TERRE HAUTE, Ind. --- The Portland Pilots men's and women's cross country teams capped their successful seasons on Saturday morning with a solid performance at the 2016 NCAA Cross Country Championships, which were held at the LaVern Gibson Championships Cross Country Course on a windy and cold Saturday morning.
The Portland men finished 13th overall among the elite field, while the women placed 22nd in their first ever team appearance at the NCAA's.
Junior Lauren LaRocco claimed All-American honors for the Pilots, placing 29th individually. Portland, which entered the day ranked 14th nationally, finished 22nd overall with 509 points.
