Pilots Fall to No. 5 Beavers 5-1 at Ron Tonkin

HILLSBORO, Ore. – The Portland Pilots (17-11) had their chances against the No. 5 Oregon State Beavers (21-7) but ultimately couldn't pull off the comeback, falling 5-1.

Brock Gillis took the loss for the Pilots. He started this one and pitched 5.1 innings with four runs allowed and five strikeouts. The loss is his third of the year. Jaren Hunter earned the win after going 5.2 innings with no runs allowed.

The bats were quiet most of the night for Portland, with the Pilots bringing home only one runner and totaling five hits.
