PORTLAND, Ore. --- The Portland Pilots competed in three sets with the #13th ranked squad in the country, the BYU Cougars. Portland fell with set scores of 15-25, 14-25 and 17-25.
The Pilots (11-16, 3-13 WCC) racked up four service aces, with junior Kellie Hughes & Grace Zilbert each having two. Junior's Liz Reich and Kassidy Naone both had seven kills, while junior Carey Williams led the match with 15 digs.
The match began with the Pilots gaining an early lead on the Cougars (23-4, 14-2 WCC), going up 4-2 thanks to two early kills from Naone.
