San Jose, Calif. -- The Pilots 2s/3s duo of Taylor Helle and Noelani Helm were able to earn the victory in match 2 and 3, respectively, against San Jose State. Despite the victory, the Pilots ultimately succumbed to the Spartan's pressure, dropping both duals 4-1. The losses bring the Pilots' overall record to 1-4 for the 2023 season.
The Pilots fought hard, forcing a third set in nearly all of their matches in both duals. Pilots' 1s duos of Jayde Harris and Grace Zilbert, 2s/3s duos of Taylor Helle and Noelani Helm, and 5s duo of Sophie Lee and Michela Strati held strong against the Spartans, each forcing a third set during the first dual of the day.
