Pilots Eliminate Lions with 10-2 win

STOCKTON, Calif. – The Portland Pilots (32-22) bounced back from their opening loss in the WCC Tournament, defeating the Loyola Marymount Lions (20-34-1) 10-2 to avoid elimination. The win is the first ever in the tournament in program history.

Eli Morse got the win after going 7.2 shutout innings with just two hits allowed and six strikeouts. With those six strikeouts, he became the all-time leader in program history for strikeouts in a career. Brock Gillis started for Portland, going 1.1 innings with two runs and four hits allowed.
