Pilots drop series with 6-3 loss to Gonzaga

PORTLAND, Ore. – The Portland Pilots bounced back after allowing five runs in the first three innings, but couldn't overtake the Gonzaga Bulldogs as the Zags won 6-3. Gonzaga clinches the series and pushes the Pilots under .500 at 22-23. Portland is now 13-10 in conference play.

Brad McVay took the loss after allowing five runs in the first three innings. McVay rallied after that and ended his day with seven strikeouts. Eli Morse also made an appearance in this one, allowing only two hits and striking out four in three innings.

The Pilots struggled to make solid contact consistently, with only four hits as a team.
